How is your gel polish different from regular nail polish?
Gel polish dries a lot quicker than regular nail polish. Gel polish needs to be cured under a UV or LED lamp to dry while regular polish dries naturally. That’s why gel polish application is much quicker regular polish as each coat cures in only 60 seconds.
Our gel polishes are chip-resistant while regular polishes are known to easily chip.
Our gel polishes lasts up to 3 weeks (or as long as you want to keep it) while regular nail polishes only last up to 5 days.

How do I remove your gel polish?
1. Using a Nail File, gently and slowly sand down the top layer of the gel polish until all the shine has been removed.
2. Protect your cuticles by coating the skin surrounding you nails and fingers tips with a thick hand cream or cuticle oil.
3.Soak some cotton balls in acetone and place a cotton ball on top of each nail.
4. Wrap your fingertips with small squares of aluminium foil to secure the cotton ball in place. Let your nails soak for 10-15 minutes.
5. Then remove the aluminium foil and cotton balls from your fingers. The gel polish should have lifted and look as if it is falling off. If not, soak for a little bit longer.
6. Using The Gel Collective Co Gel Remover Tool, gently scape the gel polish off.Wash your hands then hydrate your nails and hands with hand cream or oil.
*Do not pick or peel your gel polish! If you rip it off, you will most likely take some layers of your nail off with it.
How long should I cure your gel polishes?
The Gel Collective Co's gel polishes should be cured for 60 seconds.
Does your gel polishes contain and toxic and harmful chemicals?
Absolutely not! Our gel polishes free of 10 of the most harmful chemicals commonly found in nail polishes.
Our gel polishes do not contain: formaldehyde, toluene,dibutyl phthalate, camphor, formaldehyde resin, xylene, parabens, phthalates, ethyl tosylamide and triphenyl phosphate, benzophenone-1.
All of our gel polishes have undergone clinical testing and material safety checks to ensure they are completely safe to use.
Are your gel polishes vegan and cruelty-free?
Absolutely! There are no animal ingredients or by-products in our gel polishes and none of our products are subject to any animal testing.
Will your gel polish damage my natural nails?
Not at all! When applied and removed correctly, our gel polish is completely safe to wear on an ongoing basis, with no damage to your natural nails.

Do I need to use a base coat and a top coat?
Yes! Without a base and top coat, your gel manicure will not last as long.
Our base coat acts as your nails protective layer and they are key for gel polish adhesion. Without a base coat, you could be left with stained nail beds with the darker colours. Our base coat also helps with easier removal.
Our Top Coat seals our gel polishes to prevent chipping and protects your manicure. It is absolutely essential for a super glossy finish.
How should I store your gel polishes?
Store your gel polish in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Always make sure your gel polish is tightly sealed and kept upright.
How long can a bottle of gel polish last?
A bottle can last up to 65 sets
Do your gel polishes have no-wipe formula?
Yes, our top coat formula is tack free so there is no need to wipe the top coat after curing it.
Does The Gel Collective Co gel polish work with any UV/LED lamp?
The Gel Collective Co's nail lamp uses high quality UVLED lights. We cannot guarantee the same results or curing time with other lamps. Be cautious that if an incorrect lamp that does not match our gel is used, heat spiking can occur.
Why do I feel a slight heat sensation when I use your nail lamp?
This is called a exothermic reactions or a heat spike. Sounds scary but do not worry, it is not harmful in any way. This usually happens when a large amount of gel polish is applied to the nail to cure .As more bonds are being formed, more heat is being generated.
To avoid this reaction, we recommend using a smaller amount of gel at a time, putting it on in thin layers. A thinner layer of gel polish will result in less heat generated.
Must I push back my cuticles and trim them?
Cuticles are essentially dead skin. Pushing back your cuticles are recommended to make your manicure last longer and make your nails look longer and neater. It can also prevent infections.
If you have thick overgrown cuticles, trim the excess away with our cuticle nipper.
Do I need to buff my nails before gel application?
Yes, buffing your nails will make sure the surface of your nail is smooth for the gel application. Buffing also removes the shine from your nails which will the gel polish more grip on your nails.
